Greater Lansing Wood Carvers’ Show,

Competition and Sale

 

 

When:  Saturday, April 19, 2014, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

 

Where:  Haslett High School Gymnasium, 5450 Marsh Road, Haslett, MI 48840

 

What:  Exhibits of various types of carvings including Chip, Caricature, Sculpture, Wildlife, and Relief. Wood Burning displays. Woodcarving Supplies.

 

Admission:  $3.00/person, no charge for visually impaired and one companion and children under 16

  Directions to Haslett High School -- 5450 Marsh Road, Haslett

 

From the North (Clare, Grand Rapids):  Take US-127 South to the Lake Lansing Road Exit. Go east (left) onto Lake Lansing Road for five miles to Marsh Road. (Lake Lansing takes a slight right after one mile.) Turn south (right) onto Marsh Road and go one mile to Haslett High School, beyond the Haslett Road intersection, on the left.

 

From the South (Jackson, Detroit):  Take I-96 to the Okemos-Mason Exit (110). Turn north onto Okemos Road toward Okemos and go three miles to Hamilton Road. Turn right onto Hamilton, enter roundabout and take second exit onto Marsh Road. Go two miles to Haslett High School, on the right.

 

From the East (Flint):  Take I-69 to East Lansing Exit (94) and merge onto E. Saginaw Street. Take Saginaw west to Marsh Road. Go left (south) onto Marsh and go 2.4 miles to Haslett High School, on the left.

 

From the West (Charlotte, Kalamazoo):  From I-69 merge onto I-96 via Exit 72 toward Detroit. Take I-96 to the Okemos-Mason Exit (110). Turn north onto Okemos Road toward Okemos. Go three miles to Hamilton Road. Turn right onto Hamilton, enter roundabout and take second exit onto Marsh Road. Go two miles to Haslett High School, on the right.

An Art Show That Includes the

Visually Impaired?

 

Yes, the Greater Lansing Woodcarvers in their 21st annual show have included a section for the visually impaired.  In this special section guests, any and all, will be able to touch, handle, and pick up carvings so they can explore the art of the wood carver.   Carvings from artists across the state will be available for exploration in this section.

Where:  Haslett High School gymnasium in Haslett, MI. 

When: April 19, 2014 from 10am until 4pm.

Cost:  Admission for the visually impaired and a companion has been waived.  Admission for all others, except children under 16, is $3.00.
